Fiscal Sponsored Projects

Food Security Hawaii is now offering fiscal sponsorship for projects that have not obtained their 501c3 status. Have a project in mind? We’d love to hear from you. Contact us HERE.

Nui Lani Farm

FSH was the fiscal sponsor for the rebuilding of Nui Lani Farm after the Big Island lava flow destroyed much of the farm.  Together we successfully completed the $350,000 Kilauea Grant from the State of Hawaii during 2021 and 2022.

Trees For Tomorrow Today

FSH was instrumental in helping birth the Trees project. We acted as a fiscal sponsor for them to launch their project, and then assisted them in obtaining their own 501c3 organization. They are now a project of their own. To learn more about the Trees project please refer to their website: www.TreesForTomorrowToday.org.

Maui Family Farm Training

Food security Hawaii has been the fiscal sponsor for Maui Farmers Training Network during the year 2022 and has assisted them in securing grants and developing a tool lending library for small farmers who want to start expanding their farming.

The compost produced in the Johnson-Su composting bioreactor provides nutrients and, more importantly, results in a microbially diverse and fungal-dominant soil microbiome that can be applied at concentrations as
low as 1 kg/hectare.
